Description
The Packtagger 50 offers a versatile range of solutions for your printing needs. The simplest operation is combined with high functionality. The wide range of applications, the shortest possible ink cartridge changeover times, ink management for lower printing costs and maximum production reliability thanks to permanent print image monitoring are highlights of the Packtagger series.
Areas of application
The Packtagger 50 combines ease of use and functionality. By using Hewlett-Packard’s TIJ 2.5 ink cartridge and special inks, the printer can be used equally well on porous and non-porous surfaces, such as packaging films or varnished folding cartons. The device can be integrated into both intermittently and continuously operating systems.
“Front Loading System”
The cartridge changing system is characterized by simple handling – without cumbersome locking. It reduces downtime to an absolute minimum. The unique cartridge holder can be exchanged in seconds. The robust design has been specially developed for industrial use. As soon as the cartridge is changed, the system recognizes the ink type and fill level.
Ink management and printing costs
Ink management determines the possible number of print processes with the available cartridge content. This data is used for production planning and to determine printing costs. Each time the print image is changed, the value is recalculated and shown in the display.
Print image monitoring
The integrated print monitoring system ensures maximum production reliability. The integrated camera system supports the user during production control. The print image is read and checked after printing. As soon as a deviation outside the specified tolerance is detected, a message is displayed on the HMI, and the production line is optionally stopped. In addition, the print image is transmitted live to the HMI and can thus be additionally checked by the user.
Housing
The Packtagger 50 is built for use in all types of packaging and labeling machines. The sturdy housing protects the ink cartridge from coarse contamination. Due to its compact design, the Packtagger can be easily integrated into existing lines. A movable print head allows the printing of a print text crosswise or lengthwise to the running direction of the medium to be printed.
Operation
The HMI included in the scope of delivery can be used to load print texts and, if necessary, change them conveniently via a 7-inch touch display. The device is operated via a clearly structured user interface and does not pose any riddles for the user.
